Beauty Re-Boot

As I mentioned last week, this week is the start of a new chapter for me. The wedding is well and truly over (apart from the masses of thank you cards to write, wedding photos yet to be emailed- ditto video and changing my name but we’ll skip over that for now). I’m talking a beauty re-boot here people.

Skin: After nearly two weeks in paradise over indulging, it seemed a forgone conclusion that on arrival of UK soil my skin would start to get its revenge. Dehydration and a few grumpy spots are plaguing my complexion. To remedy that I’ve been using the Clarins Blue Orchid Face Oil nightly and I’ve just tried the new Perricone MD Hyalo Plasma – the first serum to have dermatologist quantities of hyaluronic acid – which for those not in the know, is the ultimate hydration booster. I’m now currently on the hunt for a new cleanser, as my Spring/Summer pre-wedding favourite Environ Sebuwash has run out and I’d like something balmier and richer for the cooler months.

Teeth: Having a visit to the hygienist is essential to give your teeth a bit of TLC. I find that my lipstick looks more amazing and I feel brighter. It’s amazing how a small thing like a professional teeth clean can really help you feel rebooted. My dentist also recommended I start using Dental Active mouth wash – which, so far has made me feel super fresh.

Health: I neglected any semblance of a diet whilst on honeymoon, but now I’m back I’m going to attempt to restrain my sugar and wheat in take (most of you know that I’ve been totally dairy free for coming up to a year now already). Instead of my twice daily huge glasses of ice tea, i’m heading back to the faithful water and I’m raring to go to see what is next in store!

De – Clutter: Binning old products, re organising new ones and putting my Summer clothes into storage. My old headmistress used to tell me “a clean desk makes for a clean brain”, and that’s exactly how I feel about my apartment and dressing room. I’m a hoarder by nature so I find it quite hard to part with things, but it’s essential in order to start a new chapter.

For a cleanser, I would recommend the NUDE Perfect Cleanse Omega Cleansing Jelly! Wishing you luck with your post-honeymoon re-boot. 🙂
