I bought this River Island scalloped prom dress back in March when I first saw it. It seemed like the ideal Summer wedding dress. Roll on Summer and we haven’t actually made it to any Summer weddings this year due to most of them being abroad and conflicting with other commitments. So this dress was rolled out for a business lunch instead and I think I got away with it. As it’s neutral based and not brightly coloured I feel like it’s definitely day time appropriate, and as I left both my hair and makeup incredibly simple and relaxed I felt like it wasn’t too dressed up. I love the rainy scallop detail and how it really hugs the waist. It’s currently doing the sales rounds and they’ve brought out a new version that’s totally black which I have my eye on next!
