Staying in Paris

Two weeks ago I was swept away to Paris for Fashion Week with Babyliss to go backstage at the Vivienne Westwood show with Sam McKnight. The weather when we arrived was gloriously mild for early March and I sauntered out to my favourite Zara in the world on Rue Saint Honore (cos I’m #cultured). However the next day things took a turn for the worse and biblical rain and freezing cold winds ensued right up until we left on Monday afternoon.

The look backstage at Westwood was perfectly punk – undone, unkempt but still incredibly chic using Babyliss tongs and straighteners to add texture to the models hair, they even added crisp packets and other ornaments to the hair, not perhaps something I’ll be trying myself, however I loved the texture and volume in the hair using the Babyliss Pro Curl 210 tongs and the volume waves (pro curl is currently on my wish list and a bargain at £18!).

Next up my husband and sister joined me and I moved from my room at The Westin to stay at Cobblestone Paris which is a chic little rental company that kindly hosted us, we had an English speaking greeter that settled us in to our apartment which was incredibly clean and stocked up on all the amenities we could possibly need. That evening we went to my favourite restaurant L’Avenue for dinner in my new Storets coat (link below) which I’d picked up earlier from their Paris Showroom. The next day the rain sadly kept us from sightseeing but a cosy long lunch at Ralph’s soon warmed us up before we headed to Cinq Mars for my friend’s Deborah Lyons dinner, she makes the most beautiful tailored pieces and she’s going to be stocked in Harrods from the Summer so keep an eye out!Optimized-IMG_8218

All in all it was a whirlwind of a trip but even the rain couldn’t dampen the fun!
