Summer in the City

With my Summer holidays finishing earlier this year than usual due to planning our trips around friend’s weddings which were earlier on in the Summer season I’m now relishing an August spent in my home city.

August is a month where in Paris and New York feels a bit stale and depressing, but in London it’s anything but. The city fills up with lots of tourists and most Londoners travel back and forth from holiday destinations meaning that the atmosphere is still buzzing, being a collection of small villages London doesn’t have the oppressive feel of a stifling city in the heat – instead the parks are full of young Londoner’s enjoying a glass of post work rosé, the playgrounds are full of children on their Summer holidays and the creative industry is in full swing looking ahead to the busier month of September. I’ve set myself a few challenges for August, one is to post on here daily once again, another is to go back to two videos a week on my YouTube channel, I also want to do more sport and working out to feel fitter and healthier as well as spend time plotting and planning other exciting business ventures that are separate to my work on the blog.

Today I headed for a stroll around one of my favourite London neighbourhoods – Notting Hill – and then headed to the park to watch my mum and little brother Cosmo play tennis before having a stroll through the gardens with the rest of the family. For the occasion I wore this over sized crisp white Zara shirt (bought two sizes up), my Levi cut offs, Adidas all white superstars, Celine shades and my Saint Laurent Sac De Jour with this gorgeous printed scarf tied around it to give it a Summery feel.
