Perfect Sunday

Yesterday I headed to the uber cool and newly (ish) opened vegan hot spot Farmacy for Sunday lunch. I was sceptical about going as I don’t like following the crowd and anything over hyped – it usually means that it’s full of hanger ons and wannabes and not all that good. But with Farmacy I was beyond impressed. The service was kind and hospitable (which is more than I can say for other so called him places cough cough *Joe and the Juice please stop hiring arrogant wannabe model 18 year old guys who make everyone feel uncomfortable and unwelcome*) and the setting was uplifting filled with natural light and people having a great time. We had to wait 10 minutes for a table for two which isn’t all that bad considering we rocked up at 1pm on a Sunday and there was plenty space at the beautiful bar to wait. I ordered a beetroot juice labeled Witches Brew (yes I may have been swayed by the name) which I promptly knocked over and spilt all over myself, the floor and fellow diners, it looked as though there had been a serious injury with deep red liquid seeping everywhere. Mortified we were shown to our table and I was reassured that it happens all the time (not buying that one though).

We ordered an Earth bowl (him) and a vegan burger (me). The food arrived promptly and I was super impressed with how delicious and filling a meat less burger could be. The ambience was just perfect, buzzing but not overly loud and the playlist soon let me forget about the beetroot juice incident. All in all I will be requesting that all my future press breakfasts and lunches are at Farmacy and I may even rock up there with my laptop on a nice afternoon to work whilst treating myself to an almond milk hot chocolate or two in the coming Autumn months.

For the occasion I wore quite possibly my favourite Summer buy – this off the shoulder maxi from River Island, because it’s long and lean and shows off the clavicle and also allows you to eat your body’s weight in veggie burger. I added a little Nasty Gal jacket and Isabel Marant wannabe boots (purchased in 2011/12 from ASOS) and my little Louis Vuitton nano noe (which got soaked in Beetroot gate but made a miraculous recovery and not one stain in sight – phew)  I whacked my two day old hair in a pony and popped on a bit of MAC whirl and left my eyes totally bare. All in all, it was a lovely afternoon!

It really is – and fits a surprising amount in it!

    Hi Tijan,
Was searching for photos of the sac de jour bag and came across “silkicollection”. The Instagram account is using your photo without credit or reference to you. Thought I should let you know. I’ve been eyeing this bag for a while and have just decided to take the plunge. Your gorgeous photos have certainly made this an easy decision! Xx
