Top 3 Foundation Rotation

I’m a foundation floozy – I go from one to the next without so much as a second glance. I went through countless sample pots of different brands and shades in the run up to the wedding in the search for the elusive “one”. However, all that trialling has lead me to find the three that really work for me and my current skin. One is so light it feels like a veil of good skin, the other is slightly more coverage and the third is the all out airbrushed medium to full coverage “special occasion” wear.

BareMinerals Serum Foundation I’ve mentioned this one quite a few times over the past 6 weeks or so. It’s texture is watery light and it sinks in almost immediately leaving a velvet finish that stays put for hours. I don’t need to worry about wearing this all day, or even exercising in it as it is so natural and kind to my skin that I don’t feel like I’m wearing a layer of foundation at all. I wear this on days when I’m running errands, meetings, or simply want a natural finish. I wore it for my civil ceremony.

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua This foundation has been in my stocks for over two years now, and for good reason. It’s coverage is creamier than the BM one, but it has a similar velvetty finish with a bit more of a glow though. The coverage can be built up to a good medium which works perfectly for me. It is strongly scented though, but the fragrance soon dissipates once it’s on. I love how the texture of your skin feels air brushed whilst wearing it, and that even though it has SPF 15, it doesn’t attract the dreaded flash back face. I opt for this for when I want to feel a little more luxe, days when I have important meetings or going for a nice lunch. I often opt for this if I have a “day to night” kind of day when I know I’ll continue right on until late, I know that this has me covered.

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk This is what I opt for on evenings out or when filming a day of videos at home. It has no SPF in whatsoever which is why I first was lured towards it as my wedding day foundation of choice. The colour range is phenomenal (I’m 6.5) and it feels so nourishing and creamy on the skin. It gives a “lit from within” finish, without looking like your caked in makeup at all. It keeps shine at bay, and it is fragrance free  which means its ideal for sensitive skins.

So those are my current top three foundations that I feel really give my skin
