Winter Nails in Summer

I have currently decided that nothing looks chicer with all of my washed ripped denim, criss cross necklines and white crochet than a blood red manicure. I also think black or dark purple would look amazing.

There’s just something about the juxtaposition of a dark nail colour with a Summer’s wardrobe that looks amazing. I decided to paint my nails with the Maybelline Forever Gel Midnight Red today because I’m off on holiday a week tomorrow so next weekend’s manicure is undoubtedly going to be a repeat of either Essie Fiji or Maybelline Sunkissed (pale pastels look the best on a beach) so thought I’d indulge in a darker hue for now and I’m so glad that I have. I’ve missed my Winter shades, and I love how fresh they look after a sea of oranges and pale pinks.

Sundays and Thursdays are my favourite days of the week. Sundays get a bad rep but I love nothing more than walking out for some lunch then slobbing out at home all afternoon, painting my nails, reading The Sunday Times Style, downloading some new books to my kindle, having a bath, putting a hair masque on and indulging in some dairy free ice cream and then watching an action/thriller movie before going in for an Entourage marathon.
