Fall-ing in Love

Everything about Autumn just makes me happier – the chill in the air, the dappled sun, hot cups of coffee, warm cups of tea, richly coloured leaves, cosy nights, spiced fragrances, warm blankets, leather boots, leather jackets, plaid shirts Halloween – my list could go on. There’s just something magical about this time of year. Sartorially speaking it’s also the most fun to dress for – you can stay warm with light layers but also still just about get away with bare limbs.

The other day I paired my Reformation high neck blouse with my Zara leather shorts (my mum bought these for me in early September and I’ve worn them at least once a week since), black Zara ankle boots (that look oh so Celine) and my latest and most exciting purchase – this Zara aviator jacket which looks and feels as nice as its much more expensive Acne cousin. I bought it on a whim whilst in Covent Garden and feeling the chill in a light blouse and lovely but not exactly warm Nasty Gal biker. I immediately felt like I was being hugged from within – it was so soft and comfortable that I knew it had to be mine. I’m officially in love with it and felt like it set off the prim look of my outfit and made it more grunge and laid back.

I really love the floral top in this. I usually dont like floral in the fall, (and sometimes not even in the spring) but the way you styled this is perfect.

I went two sizes up – I’m usually an XS but I bought in M – it’s my secret to making it look even more expensive 😉

Do you have the name of this coat? Or a link? I can’t find it online?
