Hate to Love you

Things are taking a negative Nancy turn today as I’m going on a mini rant. Why do brands insist on still creating and releasing products that require a sharpener? It leads to so much product wastage, it’s a faff and it puts you off using your favourite products. Surely it can’t be that much more expensive to design twist up packaging as everyone from No 7 to Clinique is now doing?

When I bought the NARS Satin Lip Pencil I genuinely didn’t realise that it required sharpening, had I known I 100% would not have purchased. The amount of product I’ve wasted sharpening is worth at leas two to three days of constant reapplication. Ditto Charlotte Tilbury eye liners and Colour Chameleon shadow sticks, for a brand that already charges a premium on their products which clearly goes towards packaging, why cheap out? I’ve actually scratched my eyelid a few dozen times with the CT eyeliner as the sharpener hasn’t done an even enough job resulting in a little bit of woodshaving scratching the delicate eye area. Not. Cool. Brands – please don’t cheap out, the products are marvellous but I shan’t be re buying until there’s a packaging overhaul.

Rand over and out!

Although it’s such a pain, I actually prefer products that need to be sharpened! I don’t know if it’s just me, but I think twist up products dry out too fast!
