New Classics

It is officially 2016 and over the weekend I thought it was the perfect opportunity to wear my birthday present! I seem to have made a habit out of receiving presents early (my Chanel boy was my 2015 Christmas present which I got in…July!) but my mum and I found this Sandro jacket reduced by 50% in the sale. The saving was too good to ignore and to me it’s a timeless piece. As it’s more on the Autumnal/Wintry side we decided that instead of waiting until the 26th January (my actual birthday) that I should have it straight away as before we know it it will be March and not quite so seasonally appropriate.

The jacket is a gorgeous rich dark chocolate brown which I find a welcome change from the swathes of black I’m usually in. For Saturday I teamed it with my staple go-to black long sleeved Reformation top, Topshop leigh skinny jeans, pointed Zara booties, my Chanel Boy, Dior shades and my new favourite accessory; a £3 velvet choker from Urban Outfitters. I saw it originally on my friend Yasmine and had to have it! It’s sold out now, however you can find similar on etsy or even better you could buy some black velvet ribbon from John Lewis and DIY!

You may have noticed that I’ve dyed my hair darker. I went to see the amazing Despina at Neville Salon – she uses a Redken gloss EQ all over as it is semi permanent so doesn’t affect my natural root which is the ideal shade, and only corrects the bottom of the hair which is full of old unwanted highlights that keep on lightening. I feel so much more chic with darker hair!
