Two of my favourite SPF free foundations are Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk and NARS Sheer Glow, and recently a wild urge to mix the two together could not be quelled, so I decided to YOLO and just go for it. I used a pump and a half of GL and one pump of Sheer Glow (the GL shade is a better match for me) and the effect was gorgeous. It’s a kind of “lit from within” glow without being dewy or shiny. I was doing my makeup for the VS fashion show last week in front of my friend who actually gasped at the effect. It’s such a photo ready finish and one that I’ll definitely be using as party season gets into full swing this weekend. What’s even more amazing, is that the lasting time is like no other. I can put it on at 10am and by 10pm it still looks totally pristine with no shiny bits peeking through.
I know it’s not the most economical suggestion – mixing two pricey foundations together, but if you already have them lying around, or if you have a big event coming up I urge you to try it and tell me I’m wrong when I state that this is the best foundation mix ever!

I feel like this would be such an amazing base! I can’t believe I haven’t tried it actually! I love mixing foundations but never have tried this combo. I have SO much of my NARS Sheer Glow left because I find it too full coverage, but this would be lovely I think.
